An awesome weekend behind us, we went to a place that is probably a dream called Bíldudalur.
Bíldudalur is a small village with around 200 people, every two years celebrating the Bíldudals Green Beans, this small village turns into a true little city where a lot of people make their way to participate in this festival.
Icelanders as well as foreigners enjoy day and night with live music, entertainments during the day for the whole family as well as at night!
I did not take many pictures at the festival itself because I was too obsessed with the landscape and this new world called the Westfjords, I am not neutral in this post with me because I spent the youth there and am endlessly fond of this beautiful town.
Took some pictures along the way and in nearby fjords and believe me, I couldn’t capture all the beauty. This was a short trip but the next time I go it will be just a photo tour!
On our way home we got an accident where tourists had lost control of their car and ended up outside the road, people were trying to get them back on their way, but I stopped, I stopped the car and offered my help and 15min later the car had come up on a road, a little damaged but drivable. If the trip is in the Westfjords, please be careful as there is a lot of gravel road because the government is not in the Westfjords as part of the “ring road”
